// Job Description

Reporting directly to our Head of DevOps, We are seeking a skilled AWS DevOps/Cloud Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, and DevOps practices. This role requires a strong understanding of AWS services, container orchestration, Kubernetes, scripting, and infrastructure management.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer AWS environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security, including implementing blue-green deployment methodology.

  • Design and implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), including:

    • AWS CloudFormation using SDK Ruby for infrastructure automation.

    • Terraform using Vault for secrets management and Packer for machine image creation.

    • Serverless Framework for deploying serverless applications efficiently.

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, Ruby, or other scripting languages.

  • Develop, build, and manage Java-based applications, including expertise in Maven for dependency management and build automation.

  • Perform Linux system administration tasks to support cloud infrastructure.

  • Containerize applications using Docker and manage container orchestration solutions.

  • Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters, including Helm and ingress controllers such as Istio.

  • Utilize version control systems such as Git and Jira for source code and project management.

  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for automated deployments, including expertise in Groovy, Pipeline as Code, and shared pipeline libraries.

  • Configure and manage infrastructure using Ansible for configuration management.

  • Work with NoSQL databases, specifically Elasticsearch, for data storage and search solutions.

  • AWS certification or actively working towards certification.

  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and best practices.

  • Strong understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code and automation.

  • Proficiency in scripting and programming for automation tasks.

  • Experience with Linux system administration and cloud security best practices.

  • Knowledge of containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management tools.

  • Experience with AWS security best practices and compliance frameworks.
